Kate graduated from the University of Otago and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has taught at the University of Otago since 2009 and currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate medicine. Kate has a Masters in Physiology, which had a focus on Reproductive Endocrinology. Following her fellowship training, she has worked in the public and private sector. Kate was Medical Director for Fertility Associates Dunedin between 2017 and 2022 and joined the Intus Medical Specialists Group in 2022.

Kate is involved in all aspects of Gynaecology and Obstetrics but has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids/polyps and ovarian pathology. She is dedicated to helping women find an optimal management plan through a team approach of support, guidance, education, and excellence.
